Talk to Business Training Library. We wanted a process that would be simple to administer and provides users with access to quality courses. After talking with several other providers, it was refreshing to find an account executive with BTL who was extremely patient and walked me through everything. Not being a technical person myself, and our company being new to on-line training, I was pleased with how BTL provided us with a simple solution to meet our training needs.
The training programs have enhanced employee skills both technically and professionally, and served as a vehicle to motivate employees about training. In addition, management staff now feels it has a tool to train as well as evaluate employees. This training supplements college courses with practical training employees can immediately apply to their job.
We've recently tied the online courses available through CompanyCollege to our performance appraisal process, which has had great results! Many of our employees are very excited about the program, and are taking a lot of courses! One of our VP's is particularly enthusiastic, even recommending a couple of courses. A few of his favorites are The Enabling Manager, Lead and Develop Your Staff and Experiencing Your Anger. I have found the Job Aids to be particularly helpful! We've gone as far as designating one Wednesday morning each month to web-based training. We couldn't be happier!
We started working with Business Training Library primarily to standardize training in our offices across the country. The results have been better than expected. More people have access to training on demand instead of waiting for a classroom session. In addition to standardization, using the CompanyCollege learning management system (LMS) allows us to track all training, computer based, classroom, on-the-job, etc. Because of the LMS, we have been able to capture exactly what training has occurred and when; this helped us in two ways: one, we can identify the need for training, and two we can recognize people who have completed their training. All in all, the relationship we have had with BTL has been an extremely successful one, and we look forward to continuing that relationship into the future.
